ACS Spotlight on
Lisa Amatura
I live and work in Buffalo, NY where I was born and raised.

I have worked in the tech industry for 20+ years which, admittedly, I stumbled upon.  I was a runner back in those days and there was a very large building going up on my regular route.  I often wondered what they “did in there”.  In a  few short months,  I would find out, and spend the next 10 years learning what I know today about valuing customer relationships and helping businesses grow.  In 2005, I went to work for another large corporation. There I learned the unique challenges presented in the Education space. I helped to bring technology solutions to students, administrators and teachers.

In 2018, I was lucky enough to connect with Brian Dupper, CEO of Applied Cloud Systems.
Instead of the standard interview questions about work experience and background, Brian asked me one simple question….”What do you WANT to do”?  That’s a question I had  never been asked in my career and I knew from that moment on, I wanted to work for ACS and meet the rest of the team.

Today I cover the Northeast for ACS as a Sr. Account Executive.  We help customers navigate their journey into the Microsoft Cloud. I am surrounded by brilliant technologists and peers at both ACS and Microsoft. It’s an amazing time to be at Applied Cloud Systems.
Like most people, my journey in life has taken me many places, some joyous, some incredibly difficult .  On September 11th, 2001, I found myself on the 78th floor of WTC North Tower when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the building. I was blessed to escape and have tried to solve the riddle of my survival for 18 years.  I had a 2 year old daughter at home, and was unknowingly pregnant with my 2nd child at the time. My children (3 girls) are now 20, 17 and 8. I was given the chance to be their mom, a wife, daughter, sister and friend.  Those roles are far and away my biggest accomplishments and help guide my actions both personally and professionally.

When I am not at work, I love to cook, and hang out at home with my girls (Campbell, Francesca and Ellie), my husband Michael and our sweet Goldendoodle, Zuzu.
